This brick home was built circa 1915. The four-bedroom house sits on a piece of property that extends back to Pleasant Spring Creek.
The congregation of St. Andrews Lutheran Church purchased the property in 1948 and used it as a parsonage. Former Perkasie resident, Jim Bergey remembers playing with Pastor Schlenker’s children in the pastor’s office. (My Neighborhood: East Walnut Street in the 1950's" with Jim Bergey ) The office was located along the left side of the house.
The church sold the property in 1986 and it was converted back to a private residence. Currently, the home remains a private residence.
