In 1904, Perkasie builder, David Stoneback was awarded the contract for construction of a three-story lodge hall building for the Mowitz Tribe of Redman of South Perkasie. The front of the first floor was for apparatus of Fire Company No. 2 and storerooms. The second floor and part of the first were rented for manufacturing cigars. The third floor was used as lodge hall for the Mowitz Tribe and later the Brotherhood of America organization.
Perkasie clothing company moved into the building in 1923 and changed their name to Royal Pants Manufacturing. The company became part of Champion Pants Company and additions were made to the building in 1927, 1940, and 1971. During World War II, Royal Pants produced 35,000 pairs of pants a week for the Army and Navy.
After Royal Pants ceased operations the building was used by a variety of businesses.
Current occupants of the building are Free Will Brewing Company and Eric & Christopher.
Free Will Brewing Company opened in the basement of the building in 2012. As business expanded, they also utilized the first floor of the building for brewing and a tasting room.
Eric and Christopher started in 2012. The company designs and make decorative pillows, tote bags, tea towels, aprons, and custom and private label textile products. Eric & Christopher is located in the back of the Royal Pants building.
