Trinity Lutheran Church
19 South Fifth Street
Trinity Lutheran Church opened for services in March of 1893. The red brick church was designed by Milton Bean and was located on the corner of Fifth and Chestnut Streets.
The original church building became too small for the expanding congregation and it was rolled on logs towards Market Street and became the Sunday School building. A new greystone church building was erected in 1907, on the site of the first church.
The bell in the tower was purchased from funds raised by the Sunday School children. Residents of Perkasie collected $693 for a town clock that was placed in the tower during fall of 1912.
The large education building was constructed next to the first church building in 1959 – 60. This building contains a fellowship hall, kitchen, church office, many classrooms and a daycare.
