In 1909 the new brick schoolhouse opened on Main St. in South Perkasie, replacing a framed structure. Three grades used each of the two schoolrooms. The large basement was used as a playroom and heater room. The building was used as a school until 1946. After it closed, South Perkasie students had to walk to Third Street or Arch Street School. |
In 1947, a fraternal organization, the Brotherhood of America purchased the building for use as their Fellowship Hall. They made some alterations to the building, to accommodate their membership, which exceeded 150 members.
The Brotherhood of America sold the building in 1977. The building was converted into a residence at that time.
