The Solliday Building was constructed in 1892 by Josiah Solliday. Mr. Solliday, who lived next door at 530 West Market Street, was a custom shoe and boot maker. He operated his shoe store in the newly constructed building.
The second floor of the Solliday building was used by multiple community groups. The Dengler Post of the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR), a Civil War Veterans organization, utilized the second floor of the building for their meetings. The United Evangelical Church held church services in Solliday Hall until their new church was constructed. Labelcraft Press was also located here before constructing their present building at Fourth and Spruce Streets.
After Josiah Solliday retired the building, it continued to be used as a shoe store, first by Fretz the Shoeman and later by Raymond Roeder.

Renner Brothers Furniture Store, located across Market Street, purchased the building in 1936 for storage and TV and radio repairs. Since Renner and Lowery Furniture closed and sold the building, it has been home to Hickory House Restaurant, Perkasie Video Store, and Chimayo Gallery.
