Shine YOGA Center
601 W. Market Street
A dwelling was constructed at 6th and Market Streets circa 1880 by Hon. John Schwartz. Schwartz conducted a green grocery store business at this location.
With the coming of automobiles, the barn was enlarged and used as Perkasie's first garage. The original building was demolished in 1923.
The current building was constructed in 1923 by Metzger and Musselman proprietors of Perkasie Furniture Store. Claude and Edwin Renner purchased the building in 1933 and operated Renner Brothers Furniture Store.
The Renner Brothers dissolved their partnership, and the business was operated by the Lowry brothers, sons- in- law of Claude Renner.
The furniture business closed during the 1980's and the building has been used as a travel agency, bake at home pizza bakery and a gift shop. Since 2009, the building has been home to Shine YOGA Center.
