This block of stores was constructed in 1924 by a group of Perkasie businessmen.
The original building at this location (Cressman’s Lodge Building), was destroyed by fire in 1922. Many business were located in this building over the years including the post office, Beer’s Variety Store, Penn Jersey, Benner’s Grocery, Acme, Kulp Hardware.
At the time of the fire the businesses located in this building were Cressman Appliance, Crowne America. Today Emerald Carpet, En Arabesque, Bliss Salon & Color Studio, Frox and Chimayo Gallery are located in the building.
