Perkasie Florist & Pappa’s Cupcakes
101 N. Fifth Street
The Nace farmhouse at the corner of Fifth and Arch Streets was demolished and replaced in 1925 with a home designed by architect Milton Bean. Mr. Bean came out of retirement to design this home for his friend George Beidler.
George Beidler was the owner of Beidler Pants Company, located nearby at Fifth and Race Streets. George and Valeria Beidler raised their three daughters, Jane, Harriet, and Florence in this home. George Beidler passed away in 1953.
The house was sold in 1956. Later, Rick Mills purchased the property then house converted into offices for Fretz, Gross and Spanninger Real Estate Company in 1974. In 2007, Perkasie Florist moved their store into a section of the house. Today the building is still home to Perkasie Florist, along with Pappa’s Cupcakes and a few other small businesses (Be Home Care, Functional Origins, Elizabeth Herrington. RADaKL Bodyworks, Thrivent, Cardinal Hollow Winery).
