Schwenk - Spiegelhalter House
600 West Market Street
A three-story frame house was constructed for Charles F. Schwenk at the corner of 6th and Market Streets. Mr. Schwenk was the owner of the Standard Hay Press in Perkasie.
In the 1930’s, Perkasie barber and Reading Railroad employee, William Spiegelhalter purchased the property where he lived until his passing in 1945.
The property was then sold to William Heacock, a local real estate agent and insurance broker. Mr. Heacock renovated the home into his office and residence.
First Federal Savings and Loan purchased the home in 1955.
