Circa 1965, a three bay, self-serve, car wash named Sof-Spra Car Wash opened on Ninth Street. In 1985, the car wash was owned by Larry Strawser and referred to as Perkasie Car Wash.
For five years, between 1995 and 2000 the car wash was closed.
In 1999 the property was sold by Larry Strawser to Robert A. Walker of Churchville and Dan Gargas. They demolished the building and rebuilt a larger car wash that opened in 2000 as Tidal Wave Car Wash.
Josh Moser and Chris Fleming purchased and renamed the car wash to the Covered Bridge Car Wash in 2020.
