The Perkasie High School building was designed by architect Oscar Martin and constructed in 1905 by builder David Stoneback. Located on the corner of South Third and West Chestnut Streets, the school originally was a two-year high school.
When the school was converted into a three-year school in 1914 it was expanded further north along South Third Street. The addition had a gymnasium, auditorium and five classrooms.

With the completion of Sellersville – Perkasie High School in 1930, the former high school building would become a junior high school and later an elementary school.
In 1977 the last classes were held in the building, and it was sold by the school board. After renovations, the school building was converted into The Chalkboard Apartments.
