In 1926 the Brotherhood of America constructed their new lodge building at 534 East Walnut Street. The Harr Blacksmith shop was previously located on this site. The Brotherhood was a fraternal organization that promoted Truth, Hope and Love. The South Perkasie “Circle” of the Brotherhood of America named Relief Circle No. 57.
The Relief Circle remained in the building until 1947 when they moved into the former schoolhouse on South Main Street. Hockman and Leatherman later owned the building and leased the top floor to Prodesco. The Shisler speed shop was also located here for a brief time. The Papiernik family purchased the property in 1974 and used it to store antiques. A fire damaged the roof of the building during their ownership.
In 1987, the current owner, Matt Huprich and Son purchased the property. They manufacture architectural woodwork with a specialty of ecclesiastical (church} furniture. When Pope Benedict visited the United States, they designed and manufactured his chair.
