The building at 106 North Seventh Street was constructed in 1920 for The Central News newspaper, later The News-Herald. The printing press and paper roll storage were located on the bottom floor of the building. On the upper floor was the job printing shop and offices for publisher, editor, bookkeeper, advertising manager, reporters, and photographer.
After The News-Herald relocated in 1966, Aquarium Pharmaceuticals occupied the building making 7-day aquarium feeders. Five Point Data Systems, a printer toner cartridge remanufacturer, purchased the building in 1996.

Needing more manufacturing space in 2021, adjoining property owner, Hartman Systems acquired the property and demolished the Central News building.
Access space for Hartman Systems & Controls LLC. new manufacturing building is currently on the site of the former Central News building.
