Olde Towne Tavern formerly
Mayflower Restaurant
518 West Walnut Street
The opening of the Lehigh Valley Transit Station in 1912 brought about the construction of Daub’s Restaurant building. Located across Walnut Street from the station, the restaurant was owned by Jacob Daub who also owned the store next door.

When Daub’s Restaurant closed, Seltzers Store was located in the building before moving to the corner of Sixth and West Walnut Streets. Later Benner & Harr’s, and then Reliable Restaurants were located here.
In the early 1940’s the name changed to Mayflower Restaurant which was operated for many years by James “Jimmy ‘ DiRocco. It was under his ownership that the building was expanded with an addition of a dining room.

After DiRocco’s ownership other restaurants located here were Bullshooters and later Rossini’s. Since 1996 the bar and restaurant has been named Olde Towne Tavern.
