Modern Male Barbershop
Formerly
Pennsylvania State Liquor Store
514 West Walnut Street
The building at 514 West Walnut Street was constructed in 1953 by James DiRocco, the owner of the adjacent Mayflower Restaurant. Mr. DiRocco leased the building to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for use as a Pennsylvania State Store.

In the 1970’s the building was used for a time as seafood markets under various owners. Later Rick’s Tropical World had a store selling tropical fish and birds.
After being used as a photography studio, Tsunami Karate began using the building in 2005 as a karate Studio. Current occupant, Modern Male Barbershop, renovated the building and opened their barbershop in 2016.

The basement of the building was used as a machine shop and since 2019 has been home to PBR Productions a video and audio production and editing service.
