Perkasie Elementary School was constructed off Seventh Street on twelve acres of the Horn Tract.  The school opened in 1964 and replaced Arch Street Elementary and Dublin Elementary Schools. The school had fourteen classrooms, along with a cafeteria, auditorium, music rooms, and offices. 

​
A two stories high addition was added in 1988 extending from the present school structure towards Fifth Street. The addition added eight classrooms, a multi-purpose room, library expansion, music room, and special education room to the original building. 


In 1992, Perkasie Elementary School was named Patricia A. Guth Elementary School in honor of retiring 38-year Pennridge School District administrator.
